Because I am terminally ill and unable to work, the only money I had left in the world, to hire movers and rent a storage space, were the surplus funds I was owed from the sale of my home.
After nearly two months of begging Wells Fargo to tell me who I needed to contact to claim those surplus funds, and getting nothing but stall tactics and empty promises from them, I started to panic. I had already lost my home and was now facing the very real possibility of losing all of my belongings too, when the sheriff came to lock me out.

Trespassers:
The sale of my home became public record almost instantly. Public record also showed that my house had sold for a lot more money than what I owed on the loan.
Within minutes of the sale, I began receiving dozens of phone calls from people claiming to be attorneys, or representing law firms. Some even claimed to be lawyers with Wells Fargo Bank, and ALL of them were offering to get me the money I was owed, IF I agreed to give them a third of the money, or more.
Some of the initial phone calls I received can be heard by clicking on the image below.
There were so many calls, that I finally had to stop answering the phone if I didn't recognize the caller ID.
When I could no longer be reached by phone, I started receiving text messages from people I didn't know, making the same type of offers, and when text messages failed to get a response out of me, people began showing up at my house, at all hours.

They started knocking on my door, looking through my windows and taking pictures, checking the door knobs to see if the house was locked, and coming into my backyard through locked gates.
At one point, I caught a woman in my back yard looking through my bathroom window while I was showering.
Having already been the victim of Wells Fargo Bank fraud, losing my house, and now having people I didn't know trying to get into my home, I was literally in fear for my safety, so I called the police for help.

The police told me that there was nothing they could do about it, unless they were able to catch the people on my property. Unfortunately, they also told me that they wouldn't be able to respond that fast. I even received an email from LAPD Officer, Michael Lewis, telling me that it would take them a number of days to respond. (below)
When the police turned out to be a useless resource, I contacted both the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and the District Attorney's Office for help, because incredibly, the City Attorney had just filed a lawsuit against Wells Fargo Bank, for the very same reason that had led to my predicament. Opening unauthorized accounts without their customers knowledge or permission, even forging their customer's signature.
I told the City Attorney that Wells Fargo had opened two bank accounts in my name for a third party in another state, without my permission or my signature, using a phony driver's license and other fraudulent information about me.
I told them that as a result, my house had been foreclosed on and that I was about to be locked out by the Sheriff. I also told them that because Wells Fargo refused to tell me how to claim the money I was owed, I had no money to hire movers, or rent a storage facility and I was in fear of losing everything that was in my home.
The City Attorney declined to help me, and the District Attorney's Office didn't even bother to respond, yet both offices have no problem with prosecuting me now.
When all of the proper channels failed me, I did the only thing I could think of to keep these people from coming onto my property or trying to break into my house... I put some signs up in my windows.
I posted this sign at all of the entry points around my house, in areas where they could only be seen by someone, if they were trespassing on my property, but they had no effect.

When the signs alone failed to deter people from coming onto the property, and after filming a woman as she was trying to get into my backyard through a locked gate, I placed the gas cans that I normally use to re-fuel my lawnmower and yard tools, on counter tops that were all well inside my house. Again, where nobody could see them unless they were trespassing and looking in through my windows.
A night or two later, I was awakened at 1:00 AM, by 4 or 5 police officers standing in my flowerbeds and on my front porch, shining flashlights through my windows, and banging on my front door.
When I opened the door, the officers told me that they were called by the man who had bought my house, because he didn't like the sign that I had on my front door, and they asked me to take it down.
I pulled the sign off the front door, closed the door and the officers left without saying a word.
At no time did any of the officers mention that the signs, or the gas cans were illegal, or that having them was.
Two days later, on April 1, 2015, I was alerted by a neighbor's text message, telling me that the police were at my front door and asking me if I was OK. I responded with, "NO" and asked her to please video tape them for me.
As I opened the front door and stepped out onto my porch, I turned my phone's video camera on. Below is the video that my phone captured, as the police told me why they were there and who called them.
They told me that they were there because an acquaintance and former co-worker of mine had called and told them that she was a very good friend and was worried about me.
Really? How worried could she have been? She called the police on me, rather than picking up the phone and checking on me herself... Some friend huh?
When she found out that I had been arrested because of it, she tried to save face by publicly denying that she had called the police, on Facebook. Evidently, she hadn't counted on a video camera recording the police officers telling me who called them. When I posted the video on Facebook, to show everyone that she was lying, she blocked me... Such a GOOD friend!
Truth be told, I hadn't seen or spoken to this woman in more than 4-years, but all of a sudden she's worried about me?
I was nothing but polite and cooperative with the police officers, as I told them that the reason I put the signs in my windows and the gas cans on my counters, was because the police had told me that they couldn't respond fast enough to catch these people while they were still on the property, and because I was afraid for my safety.
Within minutes, the Bomb Squad and Fire Department began swarming my neighborhood and evacuating the neighbors, and I was on my way to jail for 8-days, despite several of my neighbors who came forward to vouch for me.
By placing those signs in my windows and putting the gas cans on my counter tops, I committed a felony, but it wasn't a felony just two nights earlier?
Being April 1, I really expected one of the officers to suddenly shout out APRIL FOOLS!
(but that would have excluded them from 11 other months of foolishness)
